08/06/2006: "Lovejoys"

I'm at Lovejoy's, just off 6th St. in Austin. My old friend Monte (here is a very old shot) is DJing a set of raggae, ska and dub. Other than the slightly dive-like nature of the place, the only fault I can find is that the Guiness is too cold... that, and the simple fact that I miss my family and home.

I'm blogging this (Oh God, I said the 'b' word), off the Nokia 770 over a free WiFi connection here at the bar, and I'm not the only one online.

Who could have imagined that?

Nobody at Wayport back in 1999, to be sure.
